Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Tbilisil. Day 2: Full day city tour of Tbilisi. Day 3: Excursion to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia. Trip to Gori. Excursion to Uplistsikhe cave-twon. Night in Kutaisi. Day 4: In Kutaisi visit Bagrati and Gelati Cathedrals. On the way to Tbilisi visit Ubisi church. Drive to Bakuriani nestled in the Mountains of the Lesser Caucasus. Night in Bakuriani. Day 5: Excursion to Vardzia cave-monastery. On the way back to Bakuriani stop at Khertvisi fortress. Night in Bakuriani. Day 6: Trip along the Georgian Military Highway. On the road stop at Ananuri Fortress. Overnight in Gudauri. Day 7: Explore Kazbegi and enjoy wonderful views of the Caucasian Mountains, including Mt. Kazbek, 5047m. Night in Tbilisi. Day 8: Excursion to David Gareji Monastery. Walk up to Udabno Monastery, known for its unique frescos. Night in Telavi. Day 9:  Excursions in Kakheti: The Palace and museum of King Erekle II in Telavi. Visit Alaverdi Cathedral, Ikalto Academy, and Tsinandali Winery. On the way to Tbilisi visit Ninotsminda church. Night in Tbilisi. Day 10: End of the tour.
